The mounting position affects the appearance, clearance and light gaps around your blind.
Sits within the window opening for a tidy, recessed finish. Check that the recess is deep enough and that handles, winders and opening windows will clear the fabric and brackets.
Mounts on the wall or suitable architrave. Extending past the opening can reduce light gaps and help clear obstructions. Use the outside-fit measuring instructions.
Look at which side of the tube the fabric drops from.
The fabric falls from the back of the tube, nearer the window. This usually keeps the cloth closer to the glass or wall and helps reduce light gaps. The fabric backing is visible around the top roll.
The fabric falls over the front of the tube, covering the roll with the room-facing fabric. It sits further from the window, which can help clear handles but may increase light gaps.
