Coordinate the track with your ceiling, frames and curtain fabric.
White blends with light ceilings; black creates definition; anodised silver has a satin metallic finish. Track profiles vary with the system selected. Each track uses a single runner channel.
The current motorised-track colour is white. The choices shown beside your selected track determine what can be ordered.
Start with the balance of daylight, privacy and softness you want.
Light, translucent fabric softens the view and lets daylight into the room. Privacy varies with lighting; sheers alone do not provide dependable night-time privacy.
An opaque curtain fabric provides greater privacy and reduces light through the cloth. Light can still enter around the track, sides and floor.
A double curtain combines a sheer and a blockout layer, letting you change the light and privacy throughout the day.
The heading shapes the top of the curtain and the way its folds fall.
Soft, continuous waves create an even, flowing line along the track.
Closely gathered, narrow folds create a softer, traditional heading.
Pairs of pleats are pinched together at the base for a tailored finish.
Three pleats in each group create a fuller, more structured heading.
Narrow pleats fold inwards behind a flat heading, with an even repeat generally spaced around 100 mm apart.
Fullness compares the amount of fabric with the width the curtain covers. More fabric creates a fuller drape and a larger stack when open.
Choose from 200%, 225% or 250% where offered. A higher percentage gives the waves more fabric and takes more room when stacked.
The current choices are 220% and 240% where offered. The higher fullness creates a denser gathered finish.
Use the fullness specified for the selected heading. MyDIY’s current pinch-pleat option is labelled 250–270%.
The stack is the space occupied by your curtains when they are open.
One curtain gathers to your chosen side. When fully open, allow approximately 30% of the whole track length for the stack. A right stack mirrors the left-stack example.

Two curtains draw apart. When fully open, allow approximately 15% of the whole track length at each end, leaving about 70% clear in the middle.

Custom splits divide the curtain at the positions you specify. Plan the space occupied by each separate gathered panel around doors and access points.
Flow describes whether the curtain stays attached at the stacking end.
The curtain remains anchored at its nominated end and draws back to that side.
The curtain can move along the track without that fixed end, giving you more flexibility in where it gathers.
Decide how the bottom of your curtain will sit in the room.
A neat clearance helps the curtain travel without brushing the floor.
A tailored finish that just meets the floor. Uneven floors can make the contact vary along the track.
Extra fabric rests softly on the floor for a more relaxed finish. It requires more care when opening and cleaning.
The hem finishes the lower edge and helps the curtain hang.
A narrow weighted edge keeps the finish visually light.
A deeper sewn band creates a defined lower edge.
A wider band gives the bottom of the curtain more visual weight.
A sewn hem gives the lower edge of the curtain a tidy finish.
