The SunBoss 80 mm cassette has a modern square profile. Its two-piece headbox conceals the fabric roll, while overlapping, felt-lined side channels guide the edges and reduce the light paths left by an ordinary roller blind.
Choose Full Four Sided Enclosure to add a bottom channel, joined to the side channels at the corners. When the blind is fully lowered, the base rail closes into this perimeter. Three Sided Enclosure covers the head and sides but leaves the bottom without that extra channel.
Bring stronger room darkening to a bedroom, reduce distracting light in a media room, or create a calmer place to rest during the day. The opaque fabric controls light through the cloth; the enclosure addresses its edges. The finished result also depends on the fit and other light sources in the room.
Choose White, Black or Anodised hardware and your preferred blockout fabric. For convenient everyday use, select a compatible motor in the builder. The cassette is an indoor system; it is different from a decorative fascia and should be ordered to suit the blind and its mounting position.
Recess and face fitting are supported. Check the fixing surfaces, available depth and clearance around handles or winders. Use the roller measuring guide together with the cassette option guidance, and ask us if your opening is uneven or you are replacing an existing blind. Avoid taking generic fascia measurements for this enclosure.
It is an opaque roller blind within an enclosure. The SunBoss 80 mm system combines a square headbox with overlapping, felt-lined side channels. Choose the Full Four Sided Enclosure to include a bottom channel as well.
Three Sided Enclosure covers the top and both sides. Full Four Sided Enclosure also closes the bottom edge with a channel and corner connections. Four sides is the choice when the strongest perimeter light blocking is your priority.
No. A headbox conceals the rolled blind, but it does not close gaps at the sides or bottom. The complete result depends on opaque fabric, the enclosure selected, accurate measurements and careful installation.
The MyDIY cassette selector offers White, Black and Anodised. Anodised has a silver aluminium appearance. Match the hardware to the room, then select the blockout fabric colour separately.
Yes. Choose the compatible motorised options offered in the roller-blind builder. Motorisation removes the operating chain; remote, charging and smart-home requirements depend on the motor selected.
The system supports recess and face fitting. Check that the opening and fixing surfaces suit the enclosure, with clearance for window handles and winders. Any gap between the channels and the surrounding surface must be addressed for the best light blocking.
Order the cassette with the blind wherever possible, because fabric and base-rail deductions must suit the channels. Retrofitting is not automatically compatible. Contact us with the existing blind details before buying an enclosure for it.
Open Build & Order, choose Blockout fabric and select Yes for Full Blockout Cassette. Under Cassette Type select Full Four Sided Enclosure, then choose the colour and compatible control options. Review your window measurements and all displayed choices before checkout.
Choose blockout fabric, select Yes for Full Blockout Cassette, then choose your enclosure and colour.
