Plantation Shutters for Kitchens
Kitchens need window furnishings that are practical around frequent cleaning, changing temperatures and everyday cooking activity.
A practical hard surface
Plantation shutters can be easier to wipe down than many soft furnishings. This is useful around areas where airborne grease, dust or cooking residue may settle.
Light and privacy
Adjustable louvres let you reduce glare or increase privacy while keeping the window visually open. This can be useful for street-facing kitchens or windows near neighbouring properties.
Check the window location
Consider how close the shutter will be to sinks, cooktops, taps and opening windows. Confirm that panels can swing freely and that handles or other fittings will not obstruct the louvres or frame.
Cleaning
Use a soft cloth or duster for regular cleaning and avoid harsh abrasive products. Deal with splashes promptly rather than allowing residue to build up.
